You might notice a lot of German influence when you visit this town. This is because this was part of the disputed territory between France and Prussia in the 19th century. This town is magical during the holiday season. I went here for two nights on my own before meeting a friend in Nancy. I also recommend Nancy during the holiday season, but I enjoyed Metz more.
